![]() (24a) Doctor's Black Bag to Green in Kansas.
These days I am picking up a little kidding for looking into medicine
quite a bit. This follows my putting the Merck Manual of Medical Information
on my home page and in some of my longevity files. Recently I came
across the TA-65 telomerase activator from TA Sciences, which is based on an
extract from Astragalus, an old Chinese medicinal remedy which strengthens
the immune system. Astragalaus root and Astragalus extracts are available
from a number of vendors, but the TA-65 Astragalus extract has been experimented
with extensively by TA Sciences, and they know how to use it to lengthen
cellular telomeres for life extension. Perhaps a similar program could be
used with other available Astragalus extracts. However, the problem of feedback
and control via telomere measurements is expensive. Eventually inexpensive
solutions that can be applied readily by anyone to lengthen his or her
telomeres may be available using this approach. In combination with
drugs such as DMAE to work on cell membrane permeability properties,
antioxidants to defend cell membranes against lipid peroxidation,
and anti-glycating drugs such as vitamin B1, vitamin C and carnosine,
it may be possible to use these insights to extend human lifespan very appreciably.
These things will all be in my black bag of medical methods for thwarting old age decline, as mirrored in the clouds by the figure inserting a black bag into Kansas with his head over the equation-symbol lakes in Canada. ![]() (24b) The Black Bag of Doctor Green, evolved scene.
By now the handle of the black bag has crossed the state line between
Colorado and Kansas. I presently carry a black camera bag around quite
a bit, but it doesn't have the classical doctor's black bag look about it.
See Steeles Doctor Bags, Medical Mail Order,
and Links/Doctor Bags. This is how the Almighty
signals the award of MD status, or perhaps MD role assignment, or signals
that something about it is going on down there. It may also be a clue that
I might consider equipping myself with one, in addition to merely improving
the contents of my medicine cabinet. However, some local billboards seem to paint
a scene showing green ducks with stars in their eyes (quacks?) for the River
Festival that takes place on my birthday May 13 this year. One old joke in
medicine is that many words seem to have unlikely pronunciations, so
a student not receiving the word from the lips of the master, but from
the pages of a book, may sound like a "quack" making the wrong sounds.
![]() (24c) Odd Duck over Virginia after Cho Shoots it Out.
This is a good example of how a news event like US-Korean Cho's shooting
in Virginia can impact the cloud cover's visionary commentator. Evidently,
the cloud cover is signaling that Cho was an "odd duck" without a "jawb"
who was a sucker for us. His fellow students were snide with him until
he hit the cieling, it seems. He probably would have done better if
he had been with more Asian company in Los Angeles or somewhere where
American-English speaking Asian company is more available. He probably
should have tried the banks with his checking account and taken a plane
or a bus for better company elsewhere. For last couple of days the news
has been full of Cho's shootings in Virginia, so that is what impacts
the cloud cover reporting.
![]() (24d) Ghost of the American Revolution Dances over the Midwest.
Springtime renewal brings a ghost of the dance to the cloudcover stage in
the form of the Ghost of the American Revolution, flourishing a bit like a goose. Coincidentally,
I was like the goose that laid the golden egg yesterday, including several links
to multi-gigabyte memory systems on several web pages, including, Home, Music, and
Movie Making.
![]() (24e) After watching "Memoirs of a Geisha".
Last night I played Memoirs of a Geisha on DVD for background atmospherics, so today the profile of a "Geisha",
(pronounced "Gay-sha")
appars over Kansas with a cock-and-balls nose and chin seeming to emerge from a shapely bottom decorated with a big wig. This is a good example of a highly focused "I see you,
do you see me?" signal communicating the "God Knows All" effect at the focus of the
cosmic mind-mirror I seem to witness.
